Shierlock Psychiatry is a small, physician-led outpatient psychiatric practice providing evaluation and medication management for adults. We take a patient-centered approach that emphasizes careful listening, individualized treatment decisions, and a pace that allows for real conversation. As a small, independently run practice, we are not driven by the pressures that often come with large, corporate settings. Our only priority is providing quality, compassionate care tailored to your needs.
Our Collaborative Care Model

Courtney Guinyard, PMHNP-BC
Courtney Guinyard is a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing evaluation and medication management for adults. She completed her nursing education at the University of South Carolina and Chamberlain University, and earned her post-master’s psychiatric specialization from Purdue University Global. Her clinical experience spans outpatient, inpatient, and community mental health settings. Courtney treats conditions including anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders, emphasizing evidence-based care, shared decision-making, and treatment plans that are practical, personalized, and sustainable.
Outside of the office, Courtney enjoys traveling, reading, and spending meaningful time with her family. She also likes trying new hobbies which allows her to learn new skills, stay curious, and continue growing both personally and creatively.

Chiquita Anderson, PMHNP-BC
Chiquita Anderson is a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience providing psychiatric care to adults. She earned her master’s degree in psychiatric–mental health nursing from Francis Marion University. Chiquita evaluates and treats a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. Her approach centers on careful assessment, evidence-based treatment, and collaborating with patients to develop plans that reflect their individual goals and preferences.
Outside of the office, Chiquita enjoys spending quality moments with her family. Couponing is a fun challenge for her, allowing her to save while shopping. She also dedicates time to pilates, focusing on her physical well-being. These activities bring joy and fulfillment to her life while strengthening my bonds with loved ones.

Jennifer Shierlock, MD
Dr. Shierlock is a board-certified adult psychiatrist with over a decade of experience across a range of clinical settings. She specializes in psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for adults. She earned her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Shierlock treats conditions including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and women’s mental health concerns, with a focus on thoughtful treatment planning and care that evolves with each patient’s needs.
Outside of the office, she enjoys going to the beach, playing tennis, and Friday night board games with her husband and kids. Her family also includes two dogs, Toby and Muffin, and a cat, Oreo.

Ryan Criner, Administrative assistant
Ryan Criner serves as the dedicated administrative assistant for Shierlock Psychiatry, where he plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for every patient. Ryan currently pursuing his his education to become Licensed Professional Counselor, He understands that healing begins with the very first phone call, and he is passionate about creating a welcoming, safe environment from the moment a patient reaches out.
